About Me

Zoey and I at the dam.jpg
2/9/18 – Visiting Cherokee Dam

I am a guy who finds himself being a 34 year old stay-at-home dad.  My daughter was born on January 1, 2016 and my life has never been the same.  After giving the daycare life a try, my wife and I decided it wasn’t for us at this time.  Since Lisa has more earning power, we decided for her to continue working and me to stay home.  We have never looked back.

I went from being a guy who didn’t want to be a dad to being a stay-at-home dad.  I didn’t dislike children, I just didn’t have any experience with them.  I hope that I can be an inspiration to anyone who is apprehensive about being a parent.

I’m a fairly average guy. I love sports. I watch NFL (go Panthers), college football (go Vols), NHL (go Bruins), and MMA.  I used to be a big gamer, but I’ve demoted myself to the status of causal gamer since Zoey’s been born.  I like to play disc golf and go hiking.  I love music, anything from chill music like Pretty Lights to heavier stuff like Bring Me the Horizon and Nothing More.  So if a guy like me can make the whole stay-at-home dad thing work, you can too.
